Have you ever dreamed abut living in the USA? are you curious how and what to do?
Then, this post it is for YOU! I initially wrote this post for Portuguese citizens. Later, I decided to translate it in order to inform other people about this visa. Maybe you can also get it with your nationality.
This year, Portugal and the United States signed a program that will allow us to come to America for 12 months. The program went into effect on February 28, 2019 and of course I want to give you all the details about it. This is a pilot and bilateral program, meaning it is the first year Americans will be able to experience life in Portugal and us in the United States.
What is a Working holiday visa?
Basically it is a visa that allows us to work and travel in the country without restrictions. You must apply for this visa before entering the country.
What conditions you need to meet to obtain the visa?
- Be a Portuguese citizen (if you are not, please check if your country has an agreement similar to this one with the USA)
- Not have kids
- Have a medical insurance
- Show enough funds for the trip and stay in the US
- Not have a record
- Be a student or have finished a degree in the past 12 months
