Mexico: Guadalajara, Tequila and Puerto Vallarta

It was only 6 days and as I told you, I did not take many pictures BUT I still managed to get some things to tell you about the trip to Mexico. As always, I traveled low cost, stayed in hostels, traveled in Blablacar / Bus and “cooked” a few times.

As everyone asks: let me tell you how much I spent on my trip:

  • Flight Chicago – Guadalajara: $250
  • Hostel: Guadalajara – $11 per night; Puerto Vallarta: $9 per night
  • Transport Guadalajara – Puerto Vallarta: Bla bla car –  $18 ; Bus – $25

Free walking tour. I think I had already mentioned this to you: every time I get to a new city, I look for free walking tours – easy, cheap and a great way to meet people and explore the city. This one was REALLY worth it .

I did the tour that my hostel offered (cause I was too lazy to try to look for something else). However I was super happy with my choice: the guide was great and by the time I had my 6th tasting I think I was pretty much drunk.

Price: $24 – Include: Transport, guide and tequila tastings

Puerto Vallarta

I discovered that the gay capital in Mexico is HERE. Apart from that, it is also the sunset capital! I heard there are beaches much more beautiful than Puerto Vallarta in Mexico but I was fairly (saying SUPERRRRRR) happy with the ones I went. The water is warm, the beaches are safe and everyone is super kind.

Have anyone else been in these cities?
